Hi! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Ella Stacey. I’m 12 years old and I will be in seventh grade at Onalaska Middle School this year. When my grandpa was younger, he wasn’t a member of the church and he made some choices that didn’t coincide with the teachings of the church. His brother joined the church first. My grandpa mocked him and shared untrue information about the church. One day, as he was working in a bar, his sister in-law walked in, handed him a Book of Mormon, and told him that he was not allowed to say anything bad about the church until after he had read and prayed about the Book of Mormon. He read it, he prayed about it, he was taught by the missionaries, he repented, and was baptized. My grandpa is one of the best people I know. He’s kind, loving, and has a lot of faith. He is one of my biggest role models, and I love him a lot. This is just one of many examples to show that true repentance really works, and is a blessing in each of our lives.
