Getting Involved

In Our Community

JustServe

JustServe is a community service initiative to help Church members follow the Savior’s admonition to “love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:39). This program helps members and missionaries find volunteer opportunities to relieve suffering, care for the poor and needy, and enhance the quality of life in the community.

Focus & fortify

1. Feast

The word “feast” continually implies an abundance. When we come to the Lord’s table there is an abundance for us to feast upon. Feast upon the scriptures. Feast upon the ordinances of the gospel. Feast upon His love.

2. turn

Turning our hearts to God is to trust Him and strive to be more obedient, quick to repent, humble to change, and determined to become one with Him. Turning to God will set our lives on a sure foundation and secure the sure course to return to live with Him.

3. share

After feasting and turning, we are then ready, as was Peter of old, to follow the Lord’s command, “When thou are converted, strengthen thy brethren” (Luke 22:32).

4. serve

We have technological advances that help us to connect with people no matter where we are in the world, and we have opportunities to serve people near and far.

What Drives Us

Focus and Fortify Our Spiritual Health

We feel impressed to encourage us all to work on achieving and maintaining a “mighty change of heart,” which comes to us as we believe in God, act on that belief by obeying God’s commandments, become clean through repentance and the atonement of Christ, and endure in faith, love, and obedience throughout our lives. As we experience a mighty change of heart, we are in a better position to face the challenges and stumbling blocks encountered in our lives. We are then ready, as was Peter of old, to follow the Lord’s command, “When thou are converted, strengthen thy brethren” (Luke 22:32).
