Lesa Peers, Primary President, La Crosse Ward

1997 Rochester Stake History

A few weeks ago, our presidency was reviewing the needs of our primary for the upcoming year of 1998. Our primary has grown in leaps and bounds! We now have almost 100 active children attending each Sunday, and our number used to be around 50! The need to reorganize classes, classrooms, and teachers was the main agenda of our meeting. I had asked each of my counselors to come to the meeting with names of prospective teachers that they felt would be good additions to our primary. Each of my counselors along with myself had prayed about many different names and each of us had come to individual conclusions. When we came to the meeting, we started reviewing our lists of names, and realized each one of us, individually, had come up with the same name for a certain class. It was a testimony to all of us that this person was to serve in primary! It was a strengthening experience for us to know the Lord does help us know who He wants in these positions.
