President Nelson has stated that “the greatest compliment that can be earned in this life is to be known as a covenant keeper.” Two of the many blessings our Heavenly Father has promised us if we keep our covenants are 1) He will give His angels charge over us, and that Jesus will go before our face, He will be on our right hand and on our left, and His Spirit will be in our hearts, and His angels round about us, to bear us up (Doctrine and Covenants 84) and 2) families can be together forever (Doctrine and Covenants 132).
In my estimation, my sister has earned the compliment of being known as a covenant keeper. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. The leukemia and the chemotherapy she is receiving to treat the leukemia are destroying her platelets. The platelets clot the blood. So she has had problems associated with bleeding. She also has antibodies against platelets so transfusions of platelets have not been helpful to stop the bleeding. One night, while in the hospital with bleeding, after a long day of suffering, Heavenly Father sent angels to bear her up, to comfort her. The angels that He sent were her parents, who have been deceased for several years.
Heavenly Father loves us and loves to bless us. He always keeps His promises. He will send His Spirit and His angels to comfort us and to heal us.
