Prayer – by Elizabeth Flatt

All Member Stories, Prayer

15 March 1998: Preston Branch

I have a testimony of prayer. Before we travel out on our stake days, we, as a primary presidency, always say a prayer for safety as we drive along. This morning I’m glad we did, because we went right through the stop sign, right over the highway, and into gravel in a yard. We fishtailed a little bit, but I looked around and no cars were coming, so we just decided to keep going. Our prayer was answered. There could have been a big accident right there; we would never have made it. Prayer is such a precious thing that we shouldn’t take lightly.
